Latest Updates from Our Project:

100 Backers!
almost 6 years ago – Sat, May 26, 2018 at 03:57:57 AM

Great news, everyone--we hit 100 backers. (101, actually, but who's bragging?) That means 100 of you brave souls out there responded to the call to arms. The alliance against the weather needs you. Rainsaber needs you.

We also reached 75% of our funding goal! With 9 days left to go, we still have $7,000 more to raise. That's about forty more backers, give or take. There's still plenty of time to forward our campaign to friends and family who may have an interest.

Send this link on to those you know: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rainsaber/rainsaber. They won't regret it.

Today we've been testing new prototypes for The Mentor and The Hero, whose thin necks pose a particular engineering challenge. Be on the lookout tomorrow for an update with results. We also have a new hilt in the works, which we hope to release soon. There's still a lot of exciting news to share as we make Rainsaber better every day, so stay with us!

Finally, a special thank you to my friend Josh, who featured Rainsaber on his popular Instagram account last night. Check out his Instastories at @tiesandfries for a look at Rainsaber on the streets of NYC.

Thanks again everyone!

New Campaign Video
almost 6 years ago – Mon, May 21, 2018 at 11:07:55 PM

We've got a new look! Thanks to your feedback, we refreshed the campaign video with an eye to make it punchier. We cut some of the story behind Rainsaber and demonstrated product features in greater detail in the hopes to keep viewers engaged. (Edited by yours truly.) Take a look and let us know what you think.

If you're not googling Rainsaber every five minutes like us, you might have also missed some of the media featuring us. It's just a start, but it's fun to see word about Rainsaber getting out there. You may also see us in Polish media later this summer!

And, finally, I'd like to give a shout-out to our friends over at Sofi Lounger, a sister Kickstarter campaign already successfully funded. We like to show our love for projects that catch our eye. We're all putting ourselves out there to bring a dream to life.

A Special Message from Our Brand Ambasador
almost 6 years ago – Mon, May 21, 2018 at 12:46:39 PM

Translation: To all our backers thus far, thank you for your support! We are on track to meet our goal thanks to your leap of faith. And to our friends in Japan, we are thrilled to see that Rainsaber has jumped an ocean. May our alliance against the weather take hold on the shores of Nippon!

As you probably noticed, Rainsaber isn't another fully-fledged company masquerading as a bootstraps Kickstarter campaign for free marketing. We're a family of tinkerers introducing a passion project to the world, so that means learning quite a bit as we go. Your questions and feedback help inform our product development so we can deliver the experience customers want. We can't promise to fulfill each request, but we'll do our best to make you smile.

Thank you again for your patience and support!

Daytime Demo
almost 6 years ago – Mon, May 21, 2018 at 12:43:07 PM

Good morning, folks. (To those in the continental USA.) We are already hard at work in the editing bay snazzing up our campaign video. We have only fourteen more days left in the campaign, so we're pulling out all the stops. Hang on to your seats!

I made a short demo video for all of you to see what Rainsaber looks like in the day. Enjoy.

I hope that gives you a good idea how it looks when it's light out. Of course, on bright sunny days, the effects will be even more reduced, but we don't expect you to be using an umbrella then.

Questions keep rolling in about the canopy sizes, the configuration interface, battery life, etc., so make sure to check our FAQ from time to time.

Have a great Sunday.
